Explore the wonders of wetlands during a live webcast on October 10 from 1 to 2 p.m. Eastern Time with WetlandsLIVE: A Distance Learning Adventure. Wade into wetlands to learn about the characteristics of wetlands, different kinds of wetlands, their functions and importance as well as the threats to wetlands and how to help conserve these important ecosystems. If you aren't able to watch the program live, it will be archived as streaming video and you can watch later.
During the webcast, your students can visit some special wetlands on the east and west coast to learn about wetland ecology, watersheds, their importance to migrating fish and birds, and much more. The program will be webcast live from Boundary Bay located right on the boundary between the United States and Canada near Vancouver, British Columbia.
