Alliance for the Great Lakes invites you to attend a FREE “Great Lakes in My World” workshop for educators in Grand Haven, MI. We invite K-8 educators to join us on June 13 and 14, and 9-12 educators to join us on June 14 and 15.
This 2-day professional development course will improve your science teaching by bringing the Great Lakes into your classroom with topics including:
· Great Lakes history
· Coastal ecology
· Habitat restoration
· Human-environment interaction
· Citizen science service learning program, Adopt-a-Beach™
During this workshop, educators will receive a copy of the Great Lakes in My World Curriculum, experiment with hands-on-activities, and discuss current Great Lakes issues.
· June 13th and June 14th- Grades K-8 Curriculum & Adopt-a-Beach™ Training
· June 14th and June 15th- Grades 9-12 Curriculum & Adopt-a-Beach™ Training
Note: June 14 will be a day for K-12 educators (both groups together).
